Graciela Luque, LCSW

Taking the first step toward therapy can be daunting, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. I am Graciela Luque, an LCSW with nearly two decades of experience helping adults move from survival mode to a life rooted in clarity. As a Chicago native and first-generation Latina, I value a "human-first" connection and believe therapy works best when it is grounded in mutual respect and a little bit of humanity. I am a down-to-earth therapist who is serious about your mental health, but I keep our sessions relatable, seasoned, and real.

 

Throughout my 18 years in the field—which has included everything from international anti-trafficking initiatives with the American Bar Association to early childhood consultation—I have specialized in helping adults navigate grief, depression, trauma, and the unique dynamics of being an Adult Child of Emotionally Immature Parents (ACEIP). My approach is holistic and trauma-informed, drawing from a diverse toolkit that includes CBT, psychodynamic and narrative therapy, solution-focused work, somatic therapy, and motivational interviewing. While I am currently working toward deepening my practice with an Internal Family Systems (IFS) lens to help clients understand the different "parts" of themselves, I utilize a wide array of evidence-based techniques to ensure our work is tailored specifically to your growth.

I am a Dominican University alumna and hold a Level 2 Reiki certification, which provides me with a holistic lens on wellness and energy work. Whether we are unburdening deep-seated trauma or navigating a current life transition, my goal is to provide a safe and empowering space where you can find your ground again. When I’m not in the therapy chair, I’m a proud dog mom to Samson; my bulldog, bread maker, soap maker and all things creative.
